Welcome to LibbyisComplex - where we honor the fact that brains and bodies are complicated.

I’m Libby. I’m a therapist, author, deep thinker, and person who’s gotten pretty darn good at holding a lot of things at once. Like many of you, my journey involves navigating complexity - I’m autistic, chronically ill, and a proud survivor of a few too many existential crises.

Here, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, I dive into the complexity of mental health - often from the perspective of someone who knows what it’s like to have a brain that’s constantly deep-thinking, over-feeling, and often refusing to do what I ask it to, even if I ask nicely. From the weight of trauma to the absurdity of daily life, I offer personal reflections, insights from my therapy work, and the occasional rabbit hole of weirdness. I’ll share about the things that don’t fit neatly into boxes (because, let’s face it, most of us don’t), and I’ll probably laugh at how ridiculous it all can be sometimes.

So, if you're into nuanced, honest, and wry takes on mental health - served with a side of quirky personal stories - this is your space. Subscribe, get comfy, and let’s unpack the complexity of it all together.

Brains are a lot, but laughing and learning about them is restorative.
